Last month, I had the joy of teaching four Yin Yoga Workshops at the Autumn Mind, Body and Soul Retreat hosted by Blooming Rose Retreats at Tractors and Cream in Othery, Somerset.
It was such a beautiful day filled with stillness, self-care and connection. A perfect opportunity to slow down and nurture both body and mind as the seasons began to change.

The Opportunity for Letting Go and Creating Space
My workshops were inspired by the Chinese Medicine Element of Metal, which represents the energy of letting go, creating space for the new and using the breath and the lungs to release what no longer serves us.
We began with a gentle energy flow guided meditation, helping everyone to soften into the moment and to connect inwards. From there, we moved into a series of yin poses that we designed to open through the chest, lungs and shoulders. We finished by returning to the meditation, allowing everyone to integrate what they had released during the stillness.
Throughout the day I guided four small groups. The space felt calm, open and deeply grounded. A beautiful reflection of the peaceful setting and energy that Kat and Tara created for the retreat.

A Nourishing Experience
The day flowed gently, with each guest moving through intention setting, aromatherapy massage, reiki in the stone circle, wreath making, and of course their yin yoga session, with me before ending with homemade soup and warm conversation.
After each of my workshops, I could feel the collective energy soften. Faces looked peaceful, bodies and minds rested. A few people shared their experiences with me saying:
“Wow, I think I went to another dimension at one point.”
“I’ve never been that deep except in sound healing.”
“That was so beautiful, I feel so calm now.”
Moments like these are why I love sharing Yin Yoga. It is such a gentle yet powerful and transformative practice, one that allows you to tune inwards, to breathe, nourish your

A Happy and Grateful Heart
I am so grateful to Kat and Tara from Blooming Rose Retreats for inviting me to be part of such a special day, and to everyone who joined the workshops with open hearts and minds.
If you are a retreat leader looking to bring calming, restorative energy into your events, I’d love to collaborate and share the beauty of Yin Yoga with your community.
And if you are someone who is seeking more stillness, balance and connection in your own life, you are always welcome to joine me for my regular Yin to Flow Classes and Yin Yoga Workshops here in Somerset.
Looking Ahead
Blooming Rose Retreats will be returning in January for their next beautiful offering, the Renew, Revive and Reset Retreat and I am excited to be bringing a workshop to this next retreat.
If you are drawn to days that are filled with rest, reflection and reconnections I couldn’t recommend their retreats more highly. They are crafted with so much care and heart.
As we are moving deeper into autumn and closer to the winter, I invite you to take a moment to pause, breathe and gently let go. Let go of the things that no longer serve you, and create space for new energy, new intentions and new beginnings.

Because when we slow down, we come home to ourselves.
